Dark secrets. Obsession. Revenge. Two Women is something as unusual as a Swedish film noir and takes us to seedy dens, decadent bars and shady brothel operations. We follow the young Cecilia who, in a desperate attempt to break with her foster parents, commits a serious crime and ends up in prison. There she meets the worldly bar singer Sonja, who has taken on the punishment for her lover's sins. A strong friendship develops between the women, but once back in freedom, the balance of power changes and the course of events becomes dramatic and fateful.

TWO WOMEN is based on the French original film Women's Prison from 1938. Both Cécile Ossbahr and Eva Dahlbeck received much praise in the press for their leading roles.
