THE RESCUE is the dream of all disaster movie lovers! When all other films in the genre only deal with an emergency, we have to bite our nails for a whole THREE in this film.
THE RESCUE follows an elite rescue team who, after nearly losing their lives on a fire-ravaged oil rig, rush to prevent a disaster in the mountains caused by an earthquake, then are tasked with rescuing the passengers aboard a crashed plane about to break in half and sink into the depths.
THE RESCUE cost a whopping one billion kronor and took over five years to complete. Only the best were hired for the production. Action master Dante Lam (Operation Red Sea) is responsible for the direction, the head of the 450-strong team of effects experts is Oscar-winning John Frazier (Spider-Man, Transformers), the set design is headed by Martin Laing (Titanic) and the photography is signed by Oscar-winning Peter Pau (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).
