Smoke Sauna Sisterhood follows a group of women who enjoy saunas year-round. We see their preparations and rituals with heated stones, smoke and leaf litter, and ice baths in the winter. In the sauna, they share their experiences and stories about motherhood, relationships, and unwanted pregnancies in a sisterly way. dick pics . The traditional smoke sauna from Võromaa in Estonia is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In Smoke Sauna Sisterhood Director Anna Hints takes us to a smoke sauna where a group of women usually take a sauna together. This intimate sphere is a safe place where the women meet and can talk about themselves and each other. The women's conversations during the sauna bath are deeply moving and make the viewer lose their breath. With an authentic voice rooted in her own background, filmmaker Anna Hints has created a groundbreaking portrait of what it means to exist in a woman's body. Here, the women are shown as they are with strong emotional authenticity and great empathy.

Smoke Sauna Sisterhood is filmed in a style reminiscent of paintings by Vermeer or Rembrandt with a camera that moves organically and never intrusively. The moments captured are as fleeting as the smoke in a sauna. They linger in the saturated light, disappearing and then reappearing. Smoke Sauna Sisterhood is the first documentary by an Estonian filmmaker to compete and win an award at Sundance.
