Anton LaVey was many things to many different people: musician, magician, author, lion tamer, police photographer, film buff, founder of a magical order, maybe even a new religion, and, yes… he was a Satanist. With the founding of his infamous Church of Satan in 1966 and the publication of his best-selling book The Satanic Bible in 1969, Anton LaVey changed the rules of the game in many ways.
