Four-time Cannes winner Naomi Kawase is back with a new film, as moving as the acclaimed Under the Cherry Trees and Towards Sunset. Kawase herself grew up as an adopted child and has based the story on Mizuki Tsijimur's bestseller from 2015. The film was a huge success in Japan and was selected as the country's Oscar entry for 2021.
