A FILM ABOUT LOVING YOURSELF
Biker hunk Dominic is obsessed with his own beauty and documents it through portraits taken with a Polaroid camera. When he receives news that his mother, who was long thought to be dead, is actually alive, Dominic jumps on his motorcycle to find her. What follows is an odyssey through the forests outside Quebec as family secrets are revealed and hot dreams come true. What could be better for a narcissist than coming face to face with someone who is his twin in both body and soul?
Image stormer and queer punk hero Bruce La Bruce ( LA Zombie , The Misandrists ) is back with a new film where Greek mythology is beautifully combined with Canadian 70s, religious iconography, pop culture and B-movie kitsch. A beautiful film that moves chameleon-like between high and low. Sexy and intellectually stimulating. In the dual role of Dominic/Daniel we see Félix-Antoin Duval ( For Sarah ), his tender mother Beatrice is played by Tania Kontoyanni ( Origami ) and her butch mistress Irene by Alexandra Petrachuck ( On The Basis of Sex ).
