On a hot summer day, two children are on their way to swim when they make a horrific discovery at Göta Canal. Among the water lilies and seaweed, a naked and slightly blue-colored female body floats. ROSEANNA was the first of Sjöwall & Wahlöö's detective novels to be filmed, making Keve Hjelm the very first to play our country's most famous film inspector, Martin Beck. The story was inspired by a high-profile sexual murder in Marstrand in July 1961, the so-called Maymordet .
