On the beautiful paradise island of Melonia, the sorcerer Prospero lives with his daughter Miranda, the albatross Ariel, the gardener Caliban and other good friends. The neighboring island of Plutonia was once just as prosperous, but is now polluted by the filthy factories of the money-hungry Slug & Slagg. Their plan is to turn Melonia into a stinking sewer too, but Prospero and his friends will do anything to stop them!

Per Åhlin's exciting and colorful film strikes a blow for the environment and imagination. Reviewers compared it to contemporary blockbusters by Disney and Don Bluth and thought Åhlin even surpassed them. The film took six years to make and was the most expensive animated feature film in Sweden up to that point.
