(Expressen 17 June 1979) RABID is the blood-sucking film that became infamous in Sweden for the fainting epidemic it caused around the country. Yet the censors had already cut out the roughest scenes. The film gave porn queen Marilyn Chambers praise for her first role in a clothed (well) film. It also meant the breakthrough for David Cronenberg, who after orgies of film blood later ended up in the fine salons, with the presidency of the Cannes jury as the climax.
