HOW MUCH TIME WOULD YOU SPEND ON GETTING YOUNGER?

A middle-aged couple has just moved into a house with an unusual feature. If you climb down a tunnel in the basement, you fall out through a hole in the ceiling on the upper floor of the house. During the short journey, twelve hours have passed and you become three days younger in the process. Surely a time machine of your own should beat both underfloor heating and an open plan layout in terms of resale value? Alain, the man of the household, doesn't really know what to do with the strange feature in the living environment, which he is otherwise happy with. However, Marie becomes a little obsessed with the idea of regaining his bygone youth, one tunnel trip at a time. In related news, Alain's alpha male tells his boss with pride in his voice that he has replaced his penis with an electronic one that can be controlled via an iPhone. All this to ensure performance so that his wife doesn't get tired. How will it end for both couples and their unequal battle against the ravages of time?

Time loops, mechanical male limbs, charming cats and main characters who take on the most absurd situations with zero composure. In other words, everything is as it should be in the special corner of the film world created by the ever-productive and imaginative multi-artist Quentin Dupieux. In Unbelievable but true we get what may be his most accessible and yet twisted film to date. The theme of vanity and the fear of aging is something many can surely relate to all too well. Everything indicates that this visit to Dupieuxland will also make you laugh out loud and leave the place a little wiser. Or possibly crazier?
