Mary is an ordinary girl who spends the last days of her summer vacation with an elderly relative in the country. Bored, she follows a cat that leads her deep into the forest. There she finds a broomstick stuck in an old twisted tree and blue glowing flowers at the foot of the tree. When she picks one of the flowers, the broomstick suddenly flies away with her and the cat to a mysterious colorful city above the clouds. There, Mary ends up at Endor College, a school for witches. The school's headmaster becomes convinced that Mary is an extra powerful witch and she begins studying with the strange Doctor Dee, who is a master of transfiguration magic. But Endor College is not as good as she thought and Dr. Dee is no master of magic. Mary must risk her life and be smart and brave to set everything right again.
