A PLAYFUL INTERVIEW WITH THE FILM INDUSTRY AND THE INSANE INGMAR BERGMAN
The Kiss on the Cruise is a display of Swedish playful humor à la Hasse Ekman and Arne Mattsson. The story takes place during a film shoot on board a cruise and happily drifts with the Swedish film industry of the 1950s. Gunnar Björnstrand successfully parodies Ingmar Bergman in his role as a demon director and Annalisa Ericson is wonderfully funny in her double role. The film drops anchor in exotic locations such as Casablanca, Tangier, Lisbon, the Canary Islands and Madeira, where hardships with escaped foreign legionnaires, shady pirates and hilarious mix-ups follow one another. Ship o'hoj!
