Newlyweds Bertie and Fred live a mostly comfortable life in the south of France. However, Bertie is grieving for his mother and can't quite get his creativity going. This is ominous as their band is about to go on tour again. Hoping to give his wife some spark back, Fred invites Lane, a woman who was in their relationship while they were living in New Orleans, to join them. But the reunion is not without its problems. When Lane and Bertie meet again, both passion and old feelings of betrayal are rekindled. When another person enters the mix, the stage is set for complications under the hot late summer sun.

Debutant director Marion Hill has created a captivating film with a perfect ear for the feelings of Loya, Hot Summer Days, praised by critics for its empathetic portrayal of polyamorous love, beautiful music by Mahmoud Choukri and strong vocal contributions by Idella Johnson as Bertie. The chemistry between her and Lane (Hannah Pepper) is palpable and captivating to watch.
