A BROKEN PROMISE IS NOT A LIE

Towards the end of her term as mayor of a Paris suburb, Clémence begins to contemplate life after her career. As a final act of solidarity for the local population, she wants to see the complete renovation of the run-down high-rise district of Les Bernardins. But in the midst of these negotiations, an opportunity suddenly arises for her to take on a new and more influential position. Will Clémence stay true to her ideals or sacrifice them for her career?

Thanks to a strong acting ensemble with Isabelle Huppert ( The Pianist , Souvenir ) and Reda Kateb ( Django , With The Beautiful Days of Aranjuez at the forefront, director Thomas Kruithof has created a dialogue-driven film that elevates the drama of the game that takes place far from the corridors of big politics.
