When a businessman terminates his contract with the international gang hired for “protection” at his factory in Estonia, they threaten to come to Sweden and kill him and his family. The police can’t do anything, so he contacts his old friend Johan Falk. Tired of police work after being demoted to a paper job as punishment for his violent methods, Johan takes on the job. Together with a bodyguard company, he prepares for battle!

THE BODYGUARDS is the second of three independent biopics about Johan Falk that have caused a sensation in Swedish action. The worn-out term “Good for being Swedish” was conspicuous by its absence among critics and 490,000 cinemagoers saw the film. After the biopics, Johan Falk has also starred in seventeen television films and in novel form.
