The legendary revue artist and comedian Kar de Mumma left his mark on Swedish entertainment for several decades. Already in his 20s, he achieved great success with the youth books Två år i varje klass and Sigge Nilsson och jag, which described with both humor and warmth his own school days as a naughty student in 1910s Stockholm. The books were made into a film in 1938, directed by the master of pleasure games Sigurd Wallén, and audiences of all ages flocked to see them. The films revolve around the brothers and mischievous sisters Putte (Åke Johansson) and Sigge (Sven-Eric Gamble), who constantly expose their poor teachers to imaginative mischief. But deep down, they have hearts of gold.
