Jonathan, 22, is an introverted guy who lives with his little sister Rebecca, 17. After the untimely death of their parents, Jonathan becomes afraid that Rebecca will come to harm and therefore becomes very overprotective. His repressed emotions make him more and more paranoid and he finds it harder and harder to distinguish what is real. This makes him hold on to Rebecca even tighter, but the more he tries to protect her, the more she slips through his fingers.
In the fall of 2014, Elijah Debot began working on the idea for the film. In May 2015, during pre-production and casting, he met Ebba Lindgren, who both took the role of “Rebecca” and became his partner behind the camera. They finished writing the script and planned the filming together. During the summer of 2015, the film was shot over a period of just over 20 days, and during the fall, the material was supplemented. Elijah Debot himself edited a first version of 72 minutes. Between the fall of 2016 and the spring of 2017, the film was re-edited by established film editor Leo Ghysels into a finished 50-minute short film in May 2017.
