Studio S proudly presents the fourth Hasse Ekman box set, which contains four films and the complete and highly sought-after TV series Niklasons (10 episodes). All are being released on DVD for the first time. Niklasons and Min kära är en ros have not been shown since the 1960s due to copyright reasons!

Hasse Ekman emerged as something of a phenomenon during his long, productive career. Innovative and fearless, he was a cinematic pioneer in many areas. He wrote scripts, directed and acted and succeeded gallantly in whatever genre he took on. Despite this, he often ended up in the shadow of Ingmar Bergman and it was not until recent years that his film work has been raised to the proportions it deserves. In 2015, ten of his films were shown in a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, an honor that few Swedes have been granted.

Private Entrance (1956) In this episodic film we follow the tenants at Kavallerigatan 27 during a fateful autumn day. With Maj-Britt Nilsson, Alf Kjellin, Hasse Ekman and Marianne Löfgren.

With the halo crooked (1957) When secretary Birgitta gets a novel published under a pseudonym, her private life begins to crumble. With Sickan Carlsson, Hasse Ekman, Yvonne Lombard and Sture Lagerwall. The film has been digitally restored by the Swedish Film Institute.

Decimals of Love (1960) Golf coach Charlie returns to Sweden after many years of exile and takes a liking to the secretary Lena, who is the mistress of his sister's husband. With Eva Henning, Hasse Ekman, Eva Dahlbeck and Stig Järrel.

My Beloved is a Rose (1963) Georg, a middle-aged doctor of art, meets the teenage girl Clary by chance and the two begin an acquaintance. With Gunnar Björnstrand, Fam Ekman, Gunnel Lindblom and Alf Kjellin.
