SIX FILMS SIGNED BY HASSE EKMAN.

PLUS A 16-PAGE BOOKLET ABOUT THE FILMS.

Hasse Ekman emerged as something of a phenomenon during his long, productive career. Innovative and fearless, he was a cinematic pioneer in many areas. He wrote scripts, directed and acted and succeeded in whatever genre he took on. Despite this, he often ended up in the shadow of Ingmar Bergman and it was not until recent years that his film work was raised to the proportions it deserves. In 2015, ten of his films were shown in a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, an honor that has been bestowed upon few Swedes. Studio S is proud to follow up the success of Hasse Ekman Guldkorn 1 and 2 with volume 3! Once again, we have collected six of his best films in a box set filled with film magic. All are being released on DVD for the first time.

Var sin väg (1948) The assistant doctor Tage and his wife Birgit plan to have children. But their marriage is put to the test when he gets a job in the countryside and she gets an offer for a theatre engagement. With Hasse Ekman, Gunn Wållgren, Uno Henning and Marianne Aminoff.

The Three of Us Debut (1953) Lo, Ludvig and Lillebror are three young poets whose paths cross when they are offered to be published in a poetry anthology.
