SIX FILMS SIGNED BY HASSE EKMAN.
PLUS A 16-PAGE BOOKLET ABOUT THE FILMS.
Hasse Ekman emerged as something of a phenomenon during his long, productive career. Innovative and fearless, he was a cinematic pioneer in many areas. He wrote scripts, directed and acted and succeeded in whatever genre he took on. Despite this, he often ended up in the shadow of Ingmar Bergman and it was not until recent years that his film work was raised to the proportions it deserves. In 2015, ten of his films were shown in a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, an honor that few Swedes have been granted. Studio S is proud to follow up the success of Hasse Ekman Guldkorn 1 with Volume 2. Once again, we have collected six of his best films in a box set filled with film magic. Five of them are being released on DVD for the first time.
