In 1894, France is rocked by the greatest legal scandal in history. Against his will, Jewish captain Alfred Dreyfus is convicted of treason and deported to the infamous Devil's Island to serve his life sentence. But back home in France, officer Georges Picquart begins to unravel the case. He is the only one in the army who believes Dreyfus and through relentless struggle, he uncovers a terrible plot.

This groundbreaking case, widely known as the “Dreyfus Affair”, has been the subject of much writing for 125 years. Now, Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski has made a film about the scandal, starring fellow Oscar-winning director Jean Dujardin (The Artist). At the Venice Film Festival, the film won four awards, including the Grand Jury Prize, and at the César Awards (France’s Oscars), the film won three of the top prizes.
