Emily's mother is a famous children's book author who writes fairy tales about the magical kingdom of Faunutland. Life for Emily and her mother is sometimes quite tough, as they both mourn the passing of Emily's father. But Emily fights on and does everything she can to make her mother happy again. One day she finds an enchanted chest with a magical storybook and she is mysteriously transported to the fairy-tale world of Faunutland. There she meets the confused but very kind fairy Nightinglar and the strange giant monster Belorac. To make matters worse, it soon turns out that dark forces are taking power in Faunutland. Together with her new friends Nightinglar and Belorac, Emily must embark on an adventurous journey to fight the dark forces and set everything right in the fairy-tale world.

Emily and the Magical Journey is a charming adventure with an imaginative story for the whole family. Swedish duo Jenny Lampa, who also plays the fairy Nightingale, and Marcus Ovnell are responsible for the script, direction and production. The filming took place in Skåne. A locally rooted film with a strong international outlook. It has so far been sold to a somewhat astonishing 130 countries.

The lead actor, Tipper Seifert-Cleveland, has previously been seen in Game of Thrones , Krypton and Disney's Cruella . The music is by Joe Kraemer, known for films such as Jack Reacher and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation .
