Gustave Eiffel was known as a brilliant engineer even before he set out to create something monumental for the 1889 Paris World's Fair. But by the time he finished his project, he had written himself into the history books forever. Here we get the story of the woman and the passion that inspired the creation of the Eiffel Tower.

Eiffel is a grand costume drama with romance, drama and extravagant special effects with opulence in decor and beautiful clothes. Martin Bourbolon's film is an exciting portrayal of the ingenuity and persistence that was behind the construction of the Eiffel Tower, which since its construction has become one of the most famous landmarks on the planet. In the role of Eiffel we see Romain Duris ( All the Money in the World ) and Adrienne, the woman who lit his spark, is portrayed by Emma Mackey ( Sex Education ).
