This is the comedy that is so crazy funny that it was completely banned in Germany, but also paved the way for one of the biggest Broadway hits of all time and yet another movie version!

Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel play two Broadway guys on the verge of ruin. But then they come up with an idea – they're going to put on a musical about Hitler! Does that sound like a box office hit? No, hardly. And that's the point! Something that stupid has to be a flop and shut down the day after the premiere, which means the guys can keep all the money for the 25,000 percent (!) profit shares that they now plan to trick people into signing. But… what happens if the supposed flop actually becomes a smash hit?
