THE GREATEST SWEDISH ACTORS OF ALL TIME!
HIS SIX BEST FILMS IN RESTORED CONDITION.
Biggest, best and most beautiful! When Gösta Ekman was buried on January 18, 1938 in Stockholm, the funeral procession was followed by 100,000 people who wanted to show the great actor their appreciation. Our country has never experienced a similar mass manifestation since then. Studio S is proud to have collected six of Ekman's best films in one box set that simultaneously shows his enormous breadth — the silent film "The Gyurkovics", the two international blockbusters "Faust" and "The Clown", the first Swedish sound film "For her sake" and the comedies "Dear Family" and "The King is Coming". The collection also includes a large amount of unique bonus material. All films are being released on DVD for the first time in Sweden.
The Gyurkovics (1920) Gösta Ekman excels as an impulsive second lieutenant in a twisted comedy based on a novel by Hungarian author Ferenc Herczeg. By John W Brunius with Gösta Ekman , Nils Asther and Pauline Brunius.

Faust (1926) The story of Faust deals with the classic struggle between good and evil, where Faust (Gösta Ekman ) sells his soul to the devil. Based on Goethe's drama of the same name. By FW Murnau with Gösta Ekman , Emil Jannings and Camilla Horn.
For Her Sake (1930) SF's first sound film revolves around a young couple in a theater environment who live beyond their means – with financial difficulties and knots in their hair as a result. By Paul Merzbach with Gösta Ekman , Håkan Westergren and Inga Tidblad.
Dear Family (1933) About a wholesaler and his three daughters, whom we follow in Stockholm's financial and nightclub life. By Gustaf Molander with Gösta Ekman , Thor Modéen, Tutta Rolf and Sickan Carlsson.
The King is Coming (1936) King Charles XV has a dance at Ulriksdal Castle. Marie-Louise Löwencreutz manages to get involved despite being banished from court because a relative of hers once broke the queen's fan. By Ragnar Hyltén-Cavallius with Gösta Ekman , Birgit Tengroth and Tollie Zellman.
