1919. After more than a century as a colony under British rule, Malta is a country in ruins. Unemployment is spreading, the poor are starving, and the country's own politicians are terrified of the very idea of standing up to the tyrants. Most people don't believe that Goliath will ever be crushed, but things are about to happen. The power comes from below, from workers and students, whose anger grows into a bloody uprising with the goal of doing the impossible - to overthrow the world's greatest military power!

BLOOD ON THE CROWN depicts a historical rebellion that the British were quick to cover up a century ago. This is the first time it has been depicted in a feature film. Harvey Keitel and Malcolm McDowell shine in the cast and is produced by Roland Joffé, who was Oscar-nominated for directing both The Killing Fields and The Mission.
