Frank runs a small advertising agency and has just landed a lucrative account. He quickly spends the money by buying a new Volvo and a dream villa in the country for his family. But they barely have time to move into the house before strange things start happening. Doors open by themselves, the wallpaper keeps falling down and there are scraping sounds coming from the walls. Are they really just rats back there – or something much worse?

THE VISITORS is something as unusual as a really good Swedish thriller. Directed by Joakim Ersgård and written by him and his brother Patrik (then only 26 and 23 years old), the film was a success far beyond Sweden's borders and paved the way for Joakim's career in the USA. The film has been digitally restored by the Swedish Film Institute and is being released for the first time on Blu-ray. Also in its original theatrical version, nine minutes longer than on VHS and DVD.
