One of the biggest Swedish successes of all time. OVER ONE MILLION CINEMA VISITOR.

"Exciting as a thriller amidst all the weird, moving and funny stuff" Aftonbladet

"A film that both adults and children will enjoy equally" Stockholms-Tidningen

Several generations of Swedes have been touched by The Children of Frostmofjället over the years. When it came out in 1945, it was seen by over a million cinemagoers! The story of the seven orphaned children's adventurous journey in the company of their beloved goat Gullspira is just as gripping today. While it depicts the vulnerability and misery of the children in 19th-century Poor Sweden, it is a timeless story of faith, hope and love.

The film is based on Laura Fitinghoff's 1907 novel (sold 110,000 copies) and was directed by children's film giant Rolf Husberg, who also filmed several Astrid Lindgren books. Behind the beautiful photography were Oscar-winning legends Sven Nykvist and Olle Nordemar .
