Aya grows up in an orphanage with no idea that her mother had magical powers. Somehow, both the children and adults at the home always obey her every word. But life takes a new turn when a mysterious family invites her into their home.

A new film from Studio Ghibli ( My Neighbor Totoro , Spirited Away, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea ) directed by Goro Miyazaki in collaboration with the legendary Hayao Miyazaki. Based on a book by Diane Wynne Jones, who also wrote the original for Howl's Moving Castle , adapted by Studio Ghibli in 2004.
