Skåne is under threat! The big capitalist Jean Volkswagner and his entourage arrive in the scenic Änglamark to raze the land and build a gigantic amusement park for German tourists – Deutschneyland! But the resistance from the ingenious inventor Severin and his family is tougher than they could have imagined. Against the excavators they are armed with cunning, imagination, sorcery – and a giant who needs to pee!

With roots in Swedish folk beliefs, Hasse & Tage created a wonderfully funny and witty protest against the concrete pandemic and environmental destruction. Hasse Alfredson plays Severin and is surrounded by names such as Gösta Ekman, Monica Zetterlund, Birgitta Andersson, Tage Danielsson, Max von Sydow and Martin Ljung. The story is accompanied by the fantastic soundtrack signed by Evert Taube, who wrote the beloved melody Änglamark especially for the film.
