WHAT WOULD YOU DO TO HUG YOUR GRANDCHILD AGAIN?

A wealthy medical couple, Audrey (Sheila McCarthy) and Henry (Julian Richings), are willing to do anything to get their dead grandson Jackson back. Membership in a Satanist group that borrows meeting rooms at the local library, black magic, kidnapping a pregnant neighbor whose unborn child is intended as a vessel for Jackson – nothing seems too extreme when the world's most dedicated grandparents put their plan into action. However, they soon discover that a pact with the devil often has unexpected side effects.

The duo Keith Cooper (screenplay) and Justin G. Dyck (director) have previously made a whole bunch of cute Christmas movies together. Perhaps it's the overdose of sugary stories that makes them let loose here with a nightmare-inducing demon parade at the mercy of Satan. Anything for Jackson is a film where practical effects meet black humor and moody photography by Sasha Moric (The Handmaid's Tale, Locke & Key).
