Anita - from the diary of a teenage girl

Teenage Anita (Christina Lindberg) is driven to sleep with every man she sees, from young boys to “dirty old men.” Luckily, she stumbles upon psychology student Erik (Stellan Skarsgård), who wants to try to cure her of her nymphomania. Could this be the inspiration for Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac?

The film is a typical attempt of the time to make eroticism a little more clean by introducing a "sexual problem" as a theme, in this case nymphomania.

Christina Lindberg is Sweden's biggest turn-on and sexploitation film star (Thriller – a terrible film, Exposé, Wide Open, Maid in Sweden, Young Playthings). Stellan Skarsgård made three sexploitation films in the 70s: Anita, Strandhugg i somras and Intruders. This was long before he became a Hollywood star with Pirates of the Caribbean, Avengers, Dune and Star Wars: Andor.

The film has been digitally restored by the Swedish Film Institute's film archive.
