Sussie is 15 years old. Her father is dead and her mother is a serious alcoholic. For many years she has been sent between different foster homes. LOVE ME , one of the most talked-about films of the 80s, is finally being released on DVD. Kay Pollak has directed it and the main role is played with strength and courage by Anna Lindén, whom Pollak finally found after meeting 10,000 (!) applicants. The film competed for the Golden Bear in Berlin, from where GT reported that “the audience both cried and laughed” and that “the final applause was one of the longest during the festival”.
